Built-in microphone Warn allies of impending sneak attacks, swap tactics in the chaos of combat, and make plans for celebrating another job well done.

But also, with friendly fire active at all times your actions could also be the downfall of your squad, making it even more important to play tactically.

The map itself is significantly larger too, meaning there’s more space for you and your squad to explore, but in turn, you also need to be covering all basis faster.

There’s not only cooperative combat, but you’ll have cooperative objectives to tackle with your team as well. You’ll be able to share locations with each other and move together across the map.

Given that the original Helldivers from 2015 is still exclusive, though, we don't suggest getting your hopes up.

An expansive map also means more potential areas for enemies to be lurking. You’ll need to strategize on missions and work toward objectives together, as venturing out on your own could be detrimental.

There's also a setting to adjust the level of image sharpening. At zero sharpening in performance mode Helldivers 2 looks soft and indistinct, while stepping up to the max sharpening level increases clarity at the cost of additional artifacting. Quality mode exhibits the same difference, although given its higher resolution, the effect is a bit more subtle. Helldivers' performance mode runs smoothly. We're mostly at 60fps in typical play, with a very smooth readout, especially when combined with the game's motion blur. The game can suffer from extended dips into the 50s though, typically during larger firefights. Helldivers 2 is a sci-fi third-person co-op PvE shooter published by PlayStation Studios and developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. In it, players are put into the shoes of a "Helldiver" — a heavily armed and armored space marine that fights to defend humanity and "Super Earth" from Em excesso-terrestrial threats such as alien bugs called Terminids or a race of technologically advanced and militaristic robots called the Automatons.

We also learn a little bit about how important it is to strategize with your comrades to avoid lacking essential amour or equipment for certain enemies which you’ll inevitably need to face.

On the topic of Stratagems, ship module upgrades are equally important. These will affect your Stratagems, and you can see the ones that will be influenced in the bottom right corner on each ship module upgrade.

A good thing to note is that I personally did not experience any frame drops or crashes while in missions, which leads me to believe that the game is well optimized in terms of graphics and performance.

Experiment with different weapons. A shotgun might not sound effective for certain enemies, but a shotgun with a nice range upgrade is a different story.
